Maldives liveaboardWe are thrilled to introduce the Spirit of Maldives, a new vessel which explores the beautiful atolls of the Maldives in style and comfort. This spacious liveaboard is 40m long and has a total of 13 cabins for up to 26 divers.
The Spirit of Maldives has schedules that run throughout the year with mostly 7 night itineraries covering the Central and Southern Atolls as well as some 10 night trips that go further afield, including the North and South where there are fewer liveaboards.
There are all of the mod cons you would expect from a luxury liveaboard including a jacuzzi, entertainment system, dedicated camera area, integrated navigation system and a stunning sun deck.

Getting there
Getting to the Maldives is pretty straightforward with many quality carriers stopping once en-route to Male. The most popular airlines tend to be Emirates, Qatar and Etihad who each have a short transit and arrive into your destination at a sensible hour. There are direct flights with British Airways from November to March from Gatwick, but only 3 days per week. The flight time is around 11 hours to Male from London.

Spirit of Maldives departs on different days of the week, so flights will leave the day before to arrive on embarkation day.

Accommodation & Facilities
There are 13 well appointed cabins in total spread over 3 decks with 2 suites on the main deck, 2 suites on the upper deck, 2 standard cabins on the main deck and 7 standard cabins on the lower deck. Each cabin and suite enjoys private and modern ensuite facilities as well as manually controlled air conditioning while the suites offer lots of space and large windows with ocean views.
Spirit of Maldives offers ample space for guests to find their own serene moments, perfect for both relaxing and socializing.
Unwind on the expansive sun deck, cool off in the jacuzzi, or find a quiet corner in our comfortable air-conditioned lounge, stocked with a library of books, movies, and documentaries. A dedicated space for charging, making adjustments, and storing your camera gear.
Gourmet meals are served buffet style by the professional chefs and themed on different days to give a nice variety. Dietary requirements are catered for with advance notice. Beyond diving, enjoy a beachside BBQ (on central itineraries only) while watching the sunset and savoring grilled dishes in a breathtaking setting.
Conservation lectures onboard promote marine awareness. Immerse yourself in island life with guided nature walks through local villages, discovering Maldivian culture, traditions, and people. Enjoy the star-filled nights at sea. You can also take the opportunity to snorkel, experience stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. Wifi is also available at a cost.
Diving
The diving program aims at 3 dives per day on the full dive days, including night dives if conditions allow. There is a 20m spacious and well equipped dive dhoni which allows seamless dive operations and ample space for gear storage and preparation. Dive equipment is available for hire and 12 litre tanks and weights are included. Nitrox is available free of charge for qualified divers.

There is a diverse range of itineraries to consider when booking on Spirit of Maldives. Routes are fluid based on weather patterns and currents, but they are put together for the diver to get the best from any given itinerary.
